Due to the decreasing energy in modern society, the pollution caused by traditional energy is becoming more and more serious. With the increasing demand for energy and environment, the power lithium battery discharges less pollutants in the process of use, which is less harmful to the human body and the environment. Compared with the traditional lead-acid battery, it has great advantages. With the aggravation of environmental problems caused by the emission of automobile exhaust gas, power lithium battery can also replace fuel as a new energy for automobiles. Power lithium-ion batteries are used more and more in automobiles, and the technology is more mature. Electric vehicles will bring revolutionary changes to the traditional automobile industry. Therefore, the production and processing requirements of batteries are also higher, and the process is constantly improving.


The battery module is composed of many batteries, plus a protection circuit and a protection shell. The production process from a simple cell to a battery pack is quite complicated, which includes a plasma cleaning station for cleaning the surface of each cell and a coating station for gluing the surface of the cell. Before the assembly of the cell, the surface of the cell is glued. In addition to connecting and fixing each other, it may also serve the purpose of insulation and heat dissipation.


In the production and manufacturing process of the battery, it is necessary to clean the cell in turn through specific procedures to meet the corresponding production process requirements. The difference between the plasma cleaning treatment technology and the traditional cleaning ( such as mechanical cleaning, water washing and solvent cleaning, etc. ) lies in the fact that after the traditional cleaning method is completed, there is usually a residue of several nanometers on the surface. With the increasingly stringent requirements of the battery PACK processing technology, these residues often have a negative impact on the process and product reliability. There are two main sources of pollutants on the surface of the material. The foreign molecules adsorbed on the surface and the surface natural oxide layer are adsorbed by physical or chemical methods. The physically adsorbed foreign molecules can generally be adsorbed by heating, while the chemically adsorbed foreign molecules need to be more high-energy chemical reaction process to desorb them from the surface of the material. The surface natural oxide layer is generally produced on the surface of the metal, which will affect the weldability of the metal and the bonding performance of other materials. Plasma surface cleaning technology can effectively deal with the above two types of surface pollutants, improve the cleanliness of the surface and the surface energy of the substrate, so plasma cleaning equipment is generally used to clean the side of the cell.


Plasma cleaning technology is used on the surface of the cell before gluing. The surface of the cell is treated by using the properties of active components such as ions, electrons, atoms, active groups, and photons to achieve cleaning and increase the specific surface area of the cell, thereby better increasing the adhesion of the glue.
